The purpose of the site is to provide information about the Great Park. This includes community and design pages that cover the history and design, and an events and sports pages that cover special and sporting events. The site will cater to both locals and visitors so it would also have maps, directions, and event schedules.
This site is only a mock up that was prototyped on Adobe XD and Invision.
The park is designed around social activities so the tone of the site will be both fun and informative. Pictures will draw people in but are kept in black and white so it does not distract from the information. Complementary colors are used to bring focus to the information.
The website is designed around three personas: Robert, the single architect who loves nature and enjoys the pathways and bikeways; Jane, the divorced parent who has two teenagers that come to the park to participate in soccer and other seasonal sports activities; and Mark, the recent college graduate who travels from nearby Anaheim to attend the weekend concerts and shows.
The main pain points of each user is in regards to time so the navigation is centered around the four primary pages: Community, Events, Sports, and Design.
